Above fact shows amount of moisture or water in the air as the function fo relative humidity and temperature. The higher the moisture content in the air, the less temperature change requires for water condensation. As a result, reducing moisture in the air can help reducing water condensation in containers which normally transferred from low to high temperature or high to low temperature climate.

 

Desiccant helps reducing moisture in containers

For the purpose of reducing moisture in export containers, various kinds of desiccant have been introduced to the market. They all have the same function which is adsorbing moisture. The differences are how much moisture it can adsorb and price.

 

Clay ability of moisture adsorption

Clay desiccant available in the market. It is 100% natural. It can adsorb water up to 30% of its original weight. Clay is a high quality desiccant and available at very a competitive price.

 

 

Test

 Above graph plotted from experiment by equipped moisture detective device and temperature detective device inside the loaded container with 15 kgs Of Clay desiccant shipped from Korea to France.

 

Analysis

At starting point Temperature was low ( 2 - 3 oC ) and relative humidity was approximately 80%
1 - 10 days Temperature rose up to 25 oC but relative humidity decreased because Power Dry desiccant adsorbed moisture.
11 - 20 days Temperature rose up to 30 oC but relative humidity stayed low because Power Dry desiccant adsorbed moisture.
After 20 days Temperature stayed high and relative humidity was started to increase.

 

Summary

The graph shows that 15 kgs of Clay desiccant can help preventing goods damaged from moisture for 20 days traveling at temperature change range from 2 oC - 30 oC and 80 % - 100 % relative humidity condition.
